In the center of the natural triangle formed by the mountains Grammos, Verno, and Askio, on a slope at 960 m, Konstantinos Kapourgas and Anestis Chaitidis chose to bring their vision of an alternative vineyard to life. The year 2014 marked the moment when the idea became reality, and the vines timidly yet steadily spread their roots into the sandy-clay and calcareous soils of the border village Komninades in Kastoria—on the very same land where many years earlier stood the vineyard of Konstantinos Kapourgas’s grandfather, Abraam.
Driven by our love for nature and tradition, we choose to cultivate our vineyard organically, using biodynamic practices and customs inherited from our ancestors, combined with newer methods and modern know-how. These approaches view the vineyard holistically, as part of the natural whole to which we all belong and interact with. The unique terroir, along with the care and love we devote to what we do, gives us an excellent raw material from which we craft distinctive and flavorful natural wines.
