Mylonas Wines

We began cultivating the Attica land and making wine in clay amphorae in 1917. Over the years, our vineyards expanded, and a small winery was built to meet the local wine production needs and to satisfy our desire for growth.
At the beginning of the new century, the third generation of the family took over to continue this beautiful story. Our new modern small winery, designed to support the production of high-quality wines, was constructed to meet the ever-increasing demands.
Our goal has always been to highlight the Attican vineyard, particularly the unique Savvatiano variety. We look back with a smile at the clay amphora and eagerly anticipate the future…
Vineyards – Attica Land
120 acres of vineyards are scattered mainly across Lavreotiki, planted primarily with Savvatiano, as well as Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Aidani, Agiorgitiko, Limnio, Mandilaria, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
The soil is medium-textured clay-loam, mostly over a limestone base, but schist and gravel are also common. The vineyards are located at altitudes between 80 and 220 meters above sea level, with our Savvatiano, planted in goblet form, averaging 50 years of age and a yield of 400 kg/acre.
The climate is Mediterranean, with the summer meltemi winds cooling the Lavreotiki peninsula, creating ideal conditions for viticulture.
